Arin Mirkan Women's Council in Marseille promoted an action in solidarity with hunger strikers demanding the end of isolation against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Arin Mirkan Women's Council members organised the action to end the silence of the media and European institutions about the hunger strike.

Women got together at Vieux Port and whistled and beat pots and pans.

Women have announced that they will be taking action every Wednesday.

On 6 March the action will be calling on women to join the 8 March demonstration in Canabiere Square.

Kurdish women confirmed that this year 8 March activities will be held in name of the hunger strikers.
