Unrest in Iraq continues

Protests and demonstrations are organised on a daily basis in many cities.

Iraq finds no rest: protests and demonstrations have been going on since 8 July.

People are protesting against the government's economic policies as well as water and electricity interruptions.

The protests started in the Iraqi city of Basra, on 8 July, and soon spread to many cities and regions in Southern Iraq. 
Demonstrations are also held in Baghdad, Najaf, Nasiriyah and Karbala where people demanded the fulfillment of their demands and the release of the people arrested in previous rallies.

The protests have so far claimed the life of 13 people while 729 have been wounded. Among the wounded, 460 were Iraqi security forces:

Furthermore 91 buildings and vehicles, including official and public buildings were burned.
