The United States, Britain and France have presented a new UN Security Council resolution on allegations of chemical weapons attacks in Syria.

The draft text presented by the three countries reiterated the call for an independent investigation into the alleged chemical attack on the Duma region near Damascus. In addition, the text asks to ensure that humanitarian aid is delivered without interruption, that the ceasefire becomes effective and that Syria join the UN peacekeeping missions.
