Sinn Fein MEP Martina Anderson, her advisor Collette Mcallister, Italian lawyer Simonetta Rosella Benadetta, Irish human rights advocate Wendy Lyon, British Labor Party MEP Julie Ward and British human rights lawyer Margaret Owen have arrived in Diyarbakır (Amed) province on Sunday. The delegation first visited the HDP Diyarbakır provincial branch.

Following the visit, members of the foreign delegation as well as HDP Amed MPs Musa Farisoğulları, Dersim Dağ, Remziye Tosun and Saliha Aydeniz headed out for Diyarbakır E Type Prison where DTK Co-chair and HDP MP Leyla Güven, on day 67 of her hunger strike against the isolation of Abdullah Öcalan, is held.

Police forces obstructed the group and did not allow them to gather in front of the prison.

The European delegation and HDP MPs returned to the HDP Diyarbakır branch Office to make a statement.
