Turkish army and affiliated gangs suffer heavy blows in Efrîn

The Turkish army and gangs acting under their command suffered heavy losses after YPG, YPJ and Revolutionary Forces fighters retaliated their attacks on Efrîn.

Fighters of People's Defence Units (YPG), Women's Defense Units (YPJ) and Revolutionary Forces (Jaysh al-Thuwar) responded the aggressions of the occupying Turkish army and affiliated gangs, dealing them heavy blows.

Friday evening, the invading Turkish army and its gangs shelled Qestel Cindo village of Efrîn, and the villages of Ayn Daqna, Şeeala, Nêrebiyê, Um Hoş, Hirbel and Til Rifet town in Shehba Canton. As result of the bombardment, the local people’s houses and fields have taken damage.

Revolutionary Forces retaliated the attacks on Shehba Canton, and shelled the bases held by the occupying Turkish army and affiliated gangs around the al-Bab town, by which 11 members of the gangs affiliated to the invading Turkish army were wounded.

Revolutionary Forces also hit the areas of gang groups operating in Mari with artillery fire. Military sources report that the gangs sustained casualties here as well, but the number of those wounded or killed could not be clarified. According to these sources, ambulances of the Turkish state headed to the area to retrieve the wounded.

The Turkish army and allied gangs also shelled hill Martyr Şîlan in Efrîn Canton’s Sherawa district. YPG and YPJ fighters immediately responded to the attack, but details on the outcome of the fighting here could not be obtained.

Yesterday in the early evening, YPG/YPJ fighters downed a drone of the occupying Turkish army in Başemra village of Shêrawa district.
