Time for National Unity, say marchers in Lausanne

The first stage of the national unity march joined by over 100 personalities from the 4 Kurdistan parts has left Lausanne to reach Geneva today. 

The two-day march is attended by well-known politicians, writers, artists, journalists, academics, institutions and party representatives and has been organised to underline the need for national unity.

The first stage of the two-day march from Place de Riponne, the building where the Treaty of Lausanne was signed, reached the city of Renens on Thursday night.

XELIL XEMGIN: KURDISH PEOPLE WANT UNITY

Speaking at the march artist Xelil Xemgin called on the Kurdish parties to work towards Kurdish national unity. Xemgin said: "We must ensure the national unity. We cannot sing anymore. Soon we will only hear the mourning of mothers burying their children."

ADIL: LET'S EXTEND BOYCOTT OF TURKISH GOODS EVERYWHERE

Kardo Adil from South Kurdistan underlined the importance of boycotting the Turkish state and called on everyone to stop buying Turkish products. Adil said that the boycott is working in Southern Kurdistan and it is important to extend it to the 4 parts of Kurdistan and Europe. 

IGREK: WE SHOULD BE UNITED AGAINST MASSACRES

Şengal Diaspora Assembly co-chair Fikret Iğrek said that the policies of massacre and genocide against the Kurdish people continued and added: "The most basic way to stand against this is to ensure Kurdish national unity."
