Thousands marched in Paris for Rojava

Thousands of people took to the streets in Paris to protest the invading Turkish State on World Rojava Day.

Thousands of people took to the streets in Paris chanting "Long live Rojava resistance".

France Defend Rojava Platform promoted the march which left from Republique Square.

Thousands of people gathered in the square chanting slogans against Erdogan and the Turkish attacks on Rojava. 

Speaking to the people via phone, TEV-DEM Foreign Relations spokesperson Aldar Xelil stated that the Turkish state did not comply with the ceasefire and continued its attacks.

Xelil added: "The Turkish state has invaded and attacked Rojava with the aim to change the demography of the region. You and our friends in Europe are the strongest force, you are those who can prevent the occupation attacks. Long live the resistance of the peoples, our resistance will win."

TEV-ÇAND artists performed at the rally and Yellow Vests representatives also joined the march in solidarity.

Jeremie Chomotte, representative of the Danielle Mitterrand Foundation, Pascal Torre, representative of the Communist Party of France, and Xalit Isa, representative of the PYD in France all addressed the crowd.

Activists called on people to boycott Turkish products and called on the European Union countries to take concrete steps against the Turkish occupation.
