TEV-DEM Administrator: There are two options in Idlib

TEV-DEM Administrator Hesen Koçer said there are two options in Idlib: Either gangs will be taken to Afrin and al-Bab as a result of Turkey and Russia coming to an agreement or there will be a long term war in Idlib.

Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM) Administrator Hesen Koçer spoke to ANHA about the latest developments in Syria.

“GANGS ACT ACCORDING TO TURKISH STATE POLITICS”

Koçer pointed out Russian plans over Syria and said: “Russia plans to gather gang groups in one place and eliminate them. On this basis, they have gathered the gangs in Idlib.”

Koçer said gang groups in Idlib will surrender as a result of an agreement like in Daraa: “First they surrendered in Daraa, Damascus and Aleppo, and they act according to Turkish state politics. That shows that Astana has lost all meaning and will end in Idlib.”

Koçer mentioned the Turkish state’s position since the beginning of the Syrian crisis and added that the Turkish state wants to deepen the crisis and prevent projects for democracy, having supported gang groups from Al Nusra to ISIS since the start.

“TURKEY IS TRYING TO DECEIVE THE PUBLIC”

Koçer said the Turkish state is trying to deceive the public about their relationship with the gangs: “Turkey, in an attempt to deceive the public and make themselves out to be against terrorism, put the Hayat Tahrir Al Sham on the terror list. There are no gang groups left that have not accepted Turkey’s orders to surrender, if there were, Turkey’s stance would have been different.”

“TWO OPTIONS IN IDLIB”

Koçer said Idlib can’t be resolved easily and that there are two options. One of the options, according to him, is that there will be an agreement between Russia and Turkey that will convince the gang groups to surrender. If this comes to pass, gangs will gather in Afrin and al-Bab, attempt to support the Manbij project with the gangs in al-Bab, and stop the operation to liberate Afrin with gangs in Afrin.

TEV-DEM administrator said the second option is that there will be a long-term war in Idlib. Gangs have been preparing military resources for a long time and there are also mentions of chemical weapons, which could lead to a massacre in the province.

“PEOPLE OF AFRIN RESOLUTE TO LIBERATE AFRIN”

On the situation of the people of Afrin who remained in Shehba, Koçer said the people are organized in all areas and are resolute to liberate Afrin.
