TEV-ÇAND took over Freedom for Öcalan Vigil on week 364

The Vigil has been going on every week since 25 June 2012 in front of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, and has reached week 364.

The Freedom for Öcalan Vigil has been going on for 7 years and this week has been taken over by TEV-ÇAND artists.

The Vigil has been going on every week since 25 June 2012 in front of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, and has reached week 364.

TEV-ÇAND members, who included Kurdish artists in Europe, have this week taken over the Vigil from Kurdish activists from Frankfurt.

The new group includes TEV-ÇAND members Hozan Seyidxan, Zarife Zerrin, Garip Baştan, Zelal, Sozdan and Hasan Nas.

Hozan Seyidxan underlined that isolation of the Kurdish People's Leader cannot be accepted. He said: “Kurdish people showed that there can be no life without Leader Öcalan".

Öcalan is paying a huge price for having developed and implemented the concept for an equal and free life for the peoples of the Middle East, said Hozan Seyidxan.

Ending his remarks, Hozan Seyidxan noted that as artists, they had taken over the Vigil with pride and added that this action will continue until Öcalan is finally free.

Hozan Seyidxan said that it was a duty for everyone to endorse the Freedom for Öcalan Vigil and called on all Kurdish people to join the action.
