Ten HDP and DBP members remanded in custody in Antep

Ten people were detained in an operation against the HDP and DBP in Antep on 14 November. Among them was HDP Provincial Organization co-chair Sultan Bayındır who was remanded in custody together with the other detainees.

The prosecutor objected to the release of the 10 detainees who were detained in the operation against HDP and DBP executives and members on 14 November upon order of Antep Public Prosecutor's Office. The request to release the 10 under judicial control was rejected.

HDP Antep Provincial Organization co-chair Sultan Bayındır, Provincial Organization executive Mustafa Tunç,  Council members Ömer Faruk Koç and Şefik Sondu, Durri Kaygusuz, Fadile Dikici, Cumali Taşçı, Ramazan Kuas, Azime Bali and Müslüm Özkan, were remanded in custody.

All ten were sent to Antep H Type Closed Prison.

Within the scope of the investigation, 57 people were issued an arrest warrant, 54 were taken into custody and 25 were remanded into custody. The number of jailed people increased to 35.
