Silent protest against isolation in Copenhagen

Kurds have been taking to the streets all around Europe to condemn the silence on hunger strikes against the isolation of Abdullah Öcalan.

A silent protest was organized in Copenhagen, Denmark to protest the silence of western governments and international institutions in the face of the Kurdish hunger strike protest demanding the end of the isolation imposed on Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

During the demonstration at Nytorv, protesters with a black tape on their mouths, condemned the European silence and handed out leaflets to passersby informing about the goal of their action.

The protesters were also wearing t-shirts with “Freedom for Öcalan” writing on them.
