SDF rescues hundreds of civilians east of the Euphrates

SDF and Deir ez-Zor Military Council fighters have rescued hundreds of civilians from the villages east of the Euphrates, and guided them to safe zones.

The Operation Cizire Storm launched by YPG-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) for the liberation of the Deir ez-Zor territory from ISIS continues in all intensity.

Wednesday morning, hundreds of civilians, mainly women and children, who were from the villages of Cedîd Bekare, Cedîd Egîdatat, Etabiyê, Xîşam and Rewaşîda east of the Euphrates managed to flee ISIS-held region and took shelter in areas under SDF control. The fighters embraced the refugees immediately under their protection and provided them with food and water before leading them to safe zones.

Some of the civilians who didn't want to share their names out of fear for the lives of their relatives in the regions under the control of ISIS, talked about the brutality of the gangs.

A woman from Cedîd Begara described their flight from ISIS to the SDF regions as a run from the clutches of death, which they had only managed under most extreme conditions and without food and water, as they also had their small children with them.

The rescued locals expressed their gratitude to the SDF for their help, and called on all the people to flee the regions under the tyranny of the gangs, and head for the safe zones held the SDF.

The civilians were then transported to safe zones.
