SDF makes further advances towards Raqqa amid fierce clashes
Intense clashes are taking place between SDF forces and ISIS gangs in the Çiya village west of Raqqa while SDF has captured 70 % of the Hamrat Nasir town east of the city.
YPG-led Syrian Democratic Forces' Operation Wrath of Euphrates continues in its fourth phase.
SDF fighters advancing west of Raqqa have started to move towards the Çiya village 12 km west of Raqqa after liberating the West and East Sablabiya villages from ISIS.
Fighting erupted as the ISIS gangs hidden in the village opened fire on SDF fighters. Many ISIS members were killed during intensified clashes so far.
On the other hand, SDF forces have taken contol over 70 % of the Hamrat Nasir town east of Raqqa. Heavy clashes in the town continue.
