SDF liberates dozens of families from the grip of ISIS

SDF fighters are securing the safety of civilians from the areas they liberate in the Operation Cizire Storm to the east of the Euphrates.

The Press Office of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) has released a statement providing information about the latest situation of civilians liberated from the clutches of ISIS in the operation.

The statement said the following:

“The battle of “defeat terrorism” launched by SDF to eliminate the last strongholds of ISIS organization in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor continues with all its strength on the central villages of Al-Bagouz al-Fawqani and al-Sousse.

As a result of violent clashes that the region witnessed, dozens of families were liberated from the villages of Al-Bagouz Al-Fawqani, Al-Shafa, Al-Soussah, Abu Khater and Abul Hassan.

The “Hajin camp” which can accommodate thousands has been prepared for emergency accommodation for the local people once they were out of the hands of ISIS, and provides medical and nutritional assistance for them.

During her visit to the camp, the official spokesperson for the Cizire Storm campaign, Lailawa Al-Abdullah, appealed to civilians who are still stuck under the yoke of terrorist organization to leave the ISIS-held areas and leave as soon as they can, reassuring them that SDF are waiting for their exit to secure them.

Al-Abdullah called on humanitarian organizations to urgently help displaced people in the camp that was set up by SDF near Hajin, especially as the number of displaced people moving towards liberated and safe areas increases.
