SDF launched final operation to defeat ISIS in Baghouz

SDF launched the final operation to clear Baghouz region of ISIS.

The Operation Cizire Storm’s phase ‘Battle to End Terror’ which was launched to liberate the Deir ez-Zor countryside from ISIS mercenaries on September 11, 2018, continues.

Fighters of YPG-led Syrian Democratic Forces have reportedly launched the final operation against ISIS in Baghouz region, located to the southeast of Hajin, the last area under the occupation of the terrorist organization in North and East Syria.

The operation has been started from four directions with the completion of preparations and rescue of 20 thousand civilians from the clutches of jihadist mercenaries.

The SDF, made up of Syrian peoples, launched operations heeding the people’s call to achieve peace and stability in the region and rescue the people from ISIS tyranny.

The defeat of ISIS in Northern and Eastern Syria started with the liberation of Kobane by YPG and YPJ fighters. After SDF was founded on October 11, 2015, liberation operations were launched from Hawl to Manbij to Raqqa. Now, the Operation Cizire Storm continues in Deir ez-Zor.
