Remains of international fighter Orsetti arrive today in Rome

Today the remains of international fighter Lorenzo Orsetti, will arrive in Rome.

Lorenzo 'Orso' Orsetti (Tekoşer Piling) fought in the Rojava Revolution, side by side with the YPG and YPJ.

Tekoşer Piling fell a martyr in Baghouz, Deir ez-Zor on 18 March, as a result of an ambush by DAESH.

The remains will arrive in Rome and his friends have called on those who want to pay tribute to the internationalist fighter to meet at 3 pm in the Zona Cargo City of Fiumicino.

At 6 pm there will be a collective vigil to accompany Lorenzo to Verano, in San Lorenzo.

The farewell will be in Rifredi, on 9 June.

Lorenzo Orsetti came from Florence and had gone to Rojava in 2017. Last year he fought in Afrin against the Turkish invaders.

The last DAESH enclave of al-Bagouz in eastern Syria was freed a few days after his death, on March 23, when the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) declared victory over the ISIS.
