Release decision for HDP MP Leyla Güven

Objection to the imprisonment of HDP Hakkari MP Leyla Güven, who is held hostage by the AKP regime, has been approved.

According to reports coming through, lawyer Reyhan Yalçındağ has received a positive reply to the objection she had filed against the imprisonment of HDP Hakkari MP Leyla Güven on Thursday.

Güven is expected to be released in the coming hours from the E Type Closed Prison in Amed (Diyarbakır) where she is held as a political hostage.

Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-chair Leyla Güven was taken into custody following a raid on her flat on January 22 on the grounds of her statements protesting Turkey’s invasion of Afrin and her political works in the DTK. After 9 days in custody, she was jailed on January 31.

Güven has been elected deputy for Hakkari in June 24 elections.
