Raqqan man flees the army of gangs and joins the SDF

Ehmed Cuma, who was once a member of the gang group Jaysh Tahari al-Siriye affiliated to the occupying Turkish army, described the gang as "an army of dollars whose only duty is ravaging and looting."

25 years old Ehmed Cuma from Raqqa was interviewed by ANHA news agency and stated that he was working at construction sites in Turkey before he turned back home and joined the gang Jaysh Tahari al-Siriye which is affiliated to the occupying Turkish army.

Ehmed told that he stayed within the gang group for 20 days, and continued, "Turkey seeks to establish an 'Idlib Shield' just like the 'Euphrates Shield' they did before. These are just an army dedicated to money and have nothing to do with freedom or liberation. They are an army of dollars which ravages and loots, always ready to create tensions within the gangs."

The Raqqan man made clear that he saw the falsehood of claims for liberation by those groups and the Turkish state, and said "The Turkish army is only following the interests of their state, while the gangs follow them for their personal profits."

“RAVAGE AND OPPRESSION IN THE OCCUPIED REGIONS”

Ehmed stressed that the cities of Jarablus, Azaz, Bab and Rai have turned into some kind of Turkish regions and added: "The peoples of Syria are treated without respect and seen as worthless. There is a big difference between Manbij and Jarablus. There is freedom, democracy and peace in Manbij while the regions which are occupied by the Turkish army are reigned with terror, pillaging and looting."

Ehmed Cuma is one of those dozens of youths who break away from the gangs affiliated to the occupying Turkish army and surrender to the Manbij Military Council that later reviews the situation of these youths and returns them to their families.

Like many of his fellow sufferers who join the Manbij Military Council or SDF after breaking away from the gangs, Ehmed Mihemed Cuma made the decision to join the Manbij Military Council to defend his homeland.
