Protests against Turkish invasion of South Kurdistan in Germany

The Turkish military invasion in southern Kurdistan has been protested in Saarbrucken and Cologne cities of Germany.

As Turkey wants to permanently occupy areas in northern Iraq, southern Kurdistan after Afrin in northern Syria, Kurds have been taking to the streets all around Europe to protest Turkish genocidal invasion attacks and operations against South Kurdistan.

Dozens gathered in front of the Europa Galerie in Saarbrucken, chanting "Turkish state out of Kurdistan".

Speaking here, Democratic Kurdish Community Centre Co-chairperson Dexil Ibrahim condemned the collaboration of the KDP with Turkey in the occupation of southern Kurdistan. Ibrahim called on the people of Kurdistan to adopt an attitude against this betrayal of the KDP administration.

Sadettin Botan, on behalf of the local Youth Commission, called on all Kurdish youth to resist the Turkish expansionist aspirations.

A representative of the Islamic Community of Kurdistan (CIK) said in a speech that the Erdoğan regime with its Turkish Islam synthesis represents a false Islam, against which -he said- all people from Kurdistan should rise.

The rally, during which leaflets were circulated to passers-by on the launch of the military invasion of southern Kurdistan in late May, ended with the slogan "Bijî Serok Apo".

The Democratic Kurdish Community Centre in the city of Cologne also promoted a demonstration at Wienerplatz this afternoon to protest Turkey’s invasion efforts against Kurdistan lands. The protest was also supported by Viyan Women’s Council and Kurdish youth movement Ciwanên Azad.

Demonstrators carried flags of YPG, YPJ and TEV-DEM, and photographs of the civilians killed by the air raids of the Turkish state.

Speakers condemned the genocidal attacks and massacres of the Turkish state.
