Protests against the arrest of Saleh Muslim

In several European cities people protested against the arrest of the Kurdish politician Saleh Muslim in Prague at Turkey’s request.

Following Sunday’s arrest of former PYD co-chair and spokesman for foreign affairs in the Democratic Federation of Northern Syria, Saleh Muslim in Prague, capital of the Czech Republic, protest actions are taking place in front of Czech consulates and embassies in numerous European cities.

In Paris, Kurds held a demonstration with flags of the PYD, YPJ and YPG before the Embassy of the Czech Republic and demanded the immediate release of Saleh Muslim.

In the Hague, a protest action took place in front of the Czech Consulate, with protesters chanting slogans and handing out leaflets.

Kurds in Brussels also protested against the arrest of the leading Kurdish politician at Turkey’s request in front of the Czech Consulate and later at the Schuman Square.

In Athens, a demonstration was held in front of the Czech Consulate. The demonstrators chanted "Freedom for Saleh Muslim" and "Long live the resistance of Afrin". Afterwards a conversation was held with consulate representatives.

In Turin, a protest action took place in front of the UN representation office.
