Protest at Italian arms factory in support of Afrin

Two banners have been hanged at the gates of the arms factory Leonardo in Italy in protest at the Turkish state's invasion of Afrin.

Within the framework of the Global Day of Action against the Turkish occupation, Italian activists have staged a protest in front of the gates of Leonardo arms factory, located in Ronchi dei Legionari, Friuli Venezia Giulia region, in the North east of Italy.

Asking to break the silence against Turkey’s invasion in Kurdistan, the activists of the Regional Libertarian Coordination of Friuli Venezia Giulia, reminded how “In the invasion of Afrin, Russia opened up Syria’s airspace for Turkey’s air force, and the dominant international forces (the USA and the EU) remained silent”.

A similar silence, the activists said “continues during the attacks against South Kurdistan. The international complicity leaves the Kurds vulnerable to massacres in every part of Kurdistan”.
