Police raid against Stuttgart Kurdistan Solidarity Initiative

German police raided the homes of Stuttgart Kurdistan Solidarity Initiative members that are in solidarity with Northern Syria’s Afrin Canton under Turkish attack.

German police yesterday conducted raids on the homes of Stuttgart Kurdistan Solidarity Initiative members that are in solidarity with Afrin under Turkish attack. Detailed searches were conducted in the homes of two internationalists on the grounds of their announcement of actions in solidarity with Afrin on internet. According to reports, police threatened that many activists were under surveillance and on police target.

Activists made a statement and said the following; “Those in solidarity with Afrin are facing such intimidation attempts, pressure and harassment in the hands of Germany. Thereagainst, actions in solidarity with Afrin against Turkey’s attacks are growing even more and reaching out a wider international circle. Through such repression and intimidation methods, the German state seeks to crush this international solidarity with Afrin.”

Activists called for strong participation in the solidarity actions for Afrin, adding that they will gather at the Schloss Platz Square in Stuttgart at 17:00 every day.
