Police operation in Malatya, Bursa and Istanbul

Turkish police detained HDP and EMEP executives in Malatya. Many houses were raided in Bursa.

Provincial and district co-chairs were detained by Turkish police in Malatya during raids targeting EMEP and HDP members.

Labor Party (EMEP) Provincial chairman Kemal Gültekin Beyhan Bali and Peoples Democratic Party (HDP) Akçadağ district co-chair Sezgin Yaylagül have been taken into custody. It could not be established on which grounds they had been detained. 

Many houses were raided in Bursa and many people were taken into custody for posts they shared on social networks.

The detained people have been named as: Kurdish artist Savaş Görer, Özgenç Karakaş, Hülya Antil, Diyar Işık, Hikmet Şengül, Mehmet Reşat Babat, a member of Koma Aştîxwaz.

It has been reported that an other police operation is being carried out in Istanbul but no details are available at the moment, although it has been reported that a high number of people have been detained.
