Demonstrations have continued for the 7th day in Mardin in protest at the AKP regime’s seizure of metropolitan municipalities of Amed, Mardin and Van on August 19.

HDP deputies, administrators and people gathered at the HDP headquarters in Mardin before making a press statement at Karayolları Park in the city center.

Police surrounded and attacked the group while they left the building. Deputies were also harassed by the police as they protested the obstruction, calling it unlawful.

Tensions continue in front of the HDP party office.
