Play staged in protest at EP: Silence kills!

The protest against the isolation held in front of the European Parliament continues on week 4.

The protest launched in front of the European Parliament (EP) to draw attention to the ongoing hunger strikes against the isolation imposed upon Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Ocalan continues on day 2.

Kurdish people living in Europe are attending en masse to the protest held by the Kurdish Women’s Movement Europe (TJK-E) and Democratic Kurdish Society Congress Europe (KCDK-E) and calling on the CoE and CPT to take steps to end the isolation.

CULTURE COMMITTEE STAGES PLAY

On the second day of the sit-in protest in front of the EP, the Culture Committee young activists formed staged a play. The protesters, as the protest continues on week 4, aimed to draw attention to Ugur Sakar who set himself on fire in Germany and the prisoners who carried out sacrifice actions and to break the silence. The play stressed that the Kurdish people need to stand up urgently to avoid further deaths.

PROTESTING THE SILENCE

The participants were emotional during the play, which stressed that the silence causes deaths and stated that the European bodies acted deaf dumb and blind to the protests.

Artists from TEV-CAND then sang revolutionary songs. The protest will conclude at 17:00 to continue the next day.
