New co-mayors appointed for Kayapinar and Yenisehir

HDP appointed new co-mayors to replace the co-mayors robbed of their mandates in the Kayapinar and Yenisehir municipalities.

Ibrahim Cicek and Necati Pirinccioglu, who were elected co-mayors for Amed’s Yenisehir and Kayapinar district  municipalities respectively from the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) lists, were denied their mandates by the Supreme Board of Elections because they were removed from their previous jobs through the Statutory Decrees (KHK).

HDP Local Administrations Central Committee started to work with the Amed Chapter of the party to appoint new co-mayors to replace the two denied their mandates in Yenisehir and Kayapinar and to determine their council groups.

City councillors Mehmet Deviren and Davut Keser were appointed as the co-mayors of Yenisehir and Kayapinar municipalities.
