HDP Hewlêr representative Nasır Yağız has reached day 148 of his hunger strike demanding the end of isolation against Kurdish people’s leader Abdullah Öcalan. Yağız has joined HDP Hakkari MP Leyla Guven. 

Together with the hunger strike by the HDP Hewlêr representative, there are solidarity hunger strikes going on in South Kurdistan. In particular the hunger strike in Sulaymaniyah has been taken over by the 63rd group of activists and has now reached day 125. People from Germany, Catalonia and Spain joined the hunger strike in the Mesopotamian Workers Association.

Engineer Herêm Mehmud, who started an indefinite hunger strike in Kelar on 24 February, left 52 days of fast behind, while the resistance of Guizbax Celal, member of the Germiyan Regional Assembly of the Azadi Movement, was on the 32nd day of hunger strike.

In Maxmur refugee camp, Fadile Tok, member of Ishtar Council reached the 88th day of her indefinitehunger strike. The solidarity hunger strike carried out at the Martyrs' Families Association has ben taken over by the 22nd group.
