The memorial organized by the Martyrs Families Commission Switzerland in the Democratic Kurdish Community Center (CDK) had hundreds of visitors.

The memorial was held for the following fighters:

-Guerrillas Mesut Tutkal (Laser Cewlig) and Mehmet Uluca (Tolhildan Dirok) who were martyred in clashes in the Derto village of Halfeti, Urfa on May 18, 2019

-Fighters Yasir Xanika (Mihemed Yasir) and Aras Xanika (Mihemed Omer) who lost their lives in the operations to liberate Heseke on July 26, 2015

-Mukaddes Cinar (Leyla Xwinrej) who lost her life in the Turkish army operation in the Omerya area in Nusaybin, Mardin on June 12, 2019

-TEV-DEM Diplomacy Committee Member Mihdi Sakir Ebdi (Polat Herekol) who lost his life in the attack against Qamishlo’s Xerbi neighborhood on July 27, 2016

-Kurdish politician Hisen Cawis (Herekol) who was martyred in an accident on July 19, 2016

PYD Switzerland Representative Abbas Omar gave the opening speech. PYD Europe Representative Zozan Derik, CDK Switzerland Co-chair Ali Simsek, Martyrs Families Commission Switzerland and martyrs’ relatives gave speeches and condemned the Turkish state’s invasion attacks against Rojava and Southern Kurdistan.

A film was screened after and the memorial concluded with participants chanting, “Shehid namirin”.
