Mass grave discovered in Musenna, Iraq

Many people flocked to the region hoping to find the remains of their relatives.

A mass grave containing the remains of Kurds massacred under the overthrown dictator Saddam Hussein was discovered in Musenna (Samavah) in Iraq. 

The remains of at least 170 people were recovered in the grave.

It was learned that the bones excavated from the grave in the rural area west of Musenna  belonged to the Kurds living in the region between Sulaymaniyah and Diyala provinces.

After the news of the discovery of the mass grave, many people flocked to the region hoping to find the remains of their relatives.
