Manbij camp administration goes all out for migrants

Manbij camp administration supports migrants as much as the circumstances allow, and they are calling on relevant organizations for aid.

Manbij migrant camp is 7 km to the west of the city. It was opened on March 15 and there are 139 tents in it. Migrants who had to move out of Dêr Hafir, Meskenê and Xefse regions due to artillery fire from the Baath regime, attacks by ISIS gangs and artillery fire from the invading Turkish army stay in the camp.

The tents provided by UNICEF have been set up in the camp. There are some 1000 migrants in the camp, most of whom are women and children. There is an urgent need for food, clothing and water.

Migrants Bureau, Manbij Aid Organization, Manbij Civilian Administration and Legislative Council visited the migrants. They are monitoring the situation and are trying to fulfill the daily needs of the migrants with all their means.

Along with the Manbij Administration and the Legislative Council, the camp administration launched efforts to reach the potable water line. Toilets are also being prepared at the same time in the camp. There is a daily distribution of bread.

Mihemed Mensur from the camp administration said that the camp is under the Social Efforts Council Migrants Bureau and added: “Most of the migrants are women and children from Der Hafir and Xefsaye regions.”

Mensur called on the human rights organizations for tents, so the migrants won’t be out on the naked landscape.
