Long March for Afrin and Ocalan on day 3

Participants of the Lausanne-Geneva march have initiated the third stage of their march.

The Long March started to condemn the international plot against Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Ocalan and to call on the United Nations to stop the Turkish state’s invasion operation against Afrin continues.

The third stage of the march, led by the European Platform for Afrin that is comprised of 82 institutions and organizations started in Glande city of Switzerland on Wednesday. Over a thousand people including 200 internationalists from 37 countries are joining the march.

“Freedom for Ocalan, status for Kurdistan”, “UN stop the massacres in Afrin” read the banners held by the activists who chant “Everywhere Afrin, everywhere resistance” and “Freedom for Ocalan” in Kurdish, English, French, German, Catalan, Spanish and other languages as they head towards Geneva.

Participants of the march from various folks are holding flags of the PKK (Kurdistan Workers’ Party), PYD (Democratic Union Party), YPG (People’s Defense Units), YPJ (Women’s Defense Units) and of the organizations that support the march.

The internationalists state that Turkey’s attack against Afrin target not only Kurdistan but also values of humanity.

After covering 17 kilometers today, participants of the march will reach Copettes city of Switzerland this evening.
