Lîlwa Abdullah: Operation Cizire Storm continues at full speed

Lîlwa Abdullah stated that SDF fighters liberated all the Hesekê countryside and added that their forces will clear the whole area of gangs with help from the Iraqi army.

Operation Cizire Storm Spokesperson Lîlwa Abdullah spoke to ANHA about the latest developments in the Cizire Storm and said the operation continues at full speed.

Lîlwa Abdullah stated that since the operation was relaunched, SDF fighters have liberated several strategic locations in the Dashisha town, the main base for the gangs along the Syria-Iraq border.

Abdullah continued to state that the liberation of Dashisha means the liberation of the south and southeastern rural areas in Hesekê, and stressed that the connection between Syria and Iraq has been completely severed for the gangs with this development.

The operation spokeswoman also mentioned the joint operation with the Iraqi army, and stated that the partnership will continue until complete security is established along the Syria-Iraq border and the whole region is cleared of gangs.

Meanwhile, Lîlwa Abdullah also stated that the regime forces that want to stop the advance of the operation attacked the areas liberated from gangs several times, but these attempts have failed. The Spokeswoman also pointed out that the SDF fighters have rescued hundreds of civilians from ISIS and added that the civilians will return home after the liberated areas are cleared of landmines and explosives.

Lîlwa Abdullah stressed that the YPJ fighters played a very strong role in the Operation Cizire Storm and concluded with: “In these years of revolution we experience, the YPJ has shown that it is the primary force that has rescued hundreds of women. The same reality was repeated in the rescue of hundreds more during the Cizire Storm. Many of these women joined the YPJ after they were rescued from gangs.”
