Kurds in Sydney in solidarity with hunger strikes

Support for the Kurdish hunger strike resistance is growing.

The Democratic Kurdish Society Centre (DTKM) in Sydney, Australia organised a demonstration in solidarity with the Kurdish hunger strike campaign.

During the demonstration held at the Circular Quay Square, activists called on the Committee for the Prevention of Torture (CPT) and the Australian government to take action for the Kurdish hunger strikers who demand an end to the isolation regime imposed on Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Speaking here, DTKM Co-president Brusk Aiver criticised the silence of western governments which -he said- encouraged the Erdoğan regime of Turkey in his war against the Kurdish people.
