Thousands of Kurds protested Turkish invasion attacks on Afrin throughout Europe.

Hundreds of Kurds gathered in front of the Russian and US embassies in Copenhagen to protest Turkey’s invasion of Afrin. Demonstrators protested Russian and US regimes’ decision to allow Turkey to launch a military operation on Afrin.

In Swiss city of Lausanne, several hundred people staged a protest in front of the city’s central station. Chanting slogans that condemn Turkey and its allies, the activists distributed leaflets to the people informing about the invasion operation.

Kurds also took action against Turkey in Bellizona, the capital of Ticino canton of Switzerland.

In Austria, a group of Kurds demonstrated in front of the national parliament in Vienna and called upon international powers to act against Turkish aggression in Afrin.

Another protest action was held by Kurds living in Graz, in southeast Austria. 

Kurds in the Netherlands also gathered in front of the Dutch national parliament in The Hague and protested Turkish attack on Afrin.

In Belgian city of Anvers, hundreds of Kurds marched in the city centre, holding banners that read “Long live Afrin’s resistance”, “Dictator Erdogan”.

In Germany, there were protest actions in Cologne, Hannover, Duisburg, Kassel, Saarbrucken, Dresden and Frankfurt. Demonstrators carried YPG/YPJ flags which were banned in the country and condemned Russia, the US and the European Union for not doing enough to stop Turkish invasion on Afrin.

A group of Kurds held a protest in front of the US embassy in Berlin and chanted slogans that condemned Russia and US’ approval of opening Syria’s airspace to Turkish warplanes.

In Hamburg, protestors held a demonstration in front of the Turkish embassy carrying posters of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Ocalan and YPG flags.

In Paris, thousands of Kurds gathered together in front of the Kurdish association in the city centre and marched to French Foreign Ministry. The protestors called upon French government to intervene and do everything to stop Turkish aggression towards Afrin.

Kurds in Lyon were joined by Lyon’s Partisan organization and the Young Communists in a protest action against Turkey, in front of the city hall.

In Montpellier Kurds gathered together in Place du Comedie while activists in Bordeaux invaded city’s airport to raise awareness for Afrin.

More than one thousand Kurds took to the streets in Marseille and said “Afrin is not alone”.

In the UK, protest demonstrations were held in Liverpool and Manchester while several hundred Kurds protested Turkish invasion In Oslo and Stockholm in Scandinavia.

Kurdish community in Torino in Italy protested Turkey in an action in front of the RAI TV channel building. Several Italian groups showed solidarity with the activists.

Also in Bern more than 200 Kurds protested Turkey in front of the city’s central train station.
