Kurdish youth to protest the PKK ban in Berlin

The 25th anniversary of Germany's ban of the PKK is to be protested at a major march in Berlin.

Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger (Revolutionary Youth Movement) has urged young people to join the march to be held today, Saturday, in Berlin.

In a written explanation, Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger, said that the youth of Kurdistan will never forget the decision by Germany, 25 years ago, to ban the PKK in the country.

In the statement the organisation also denounced once more the attitude of the German government towards the attack and invasion of Afrin carried out by Turkey last March.

The 25th anniversary of Germany's ban of the PKK is to be protested with a major march in Berlin. The rally has been promoted by tens of civil society organisations and groups under the slogan, “freedom struggle cannot be banned”.

Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger reminded how the ban on the PKK has been used for years as a weapon against Kurdish people in Germany, who have suffered from repression and isolation.

The statement also condemned the bounty put on three senior PKK leaders by the US and said “states acting like this are actually Turkey’s partners in crime”.

The statement ended with a call to all young people to “join the march and prevent Turkish fascism from being implemented in Germany.”
