Kurdish journalists visited hunger strikers in the Hague

Hüseyin Yıldız and Hasbi Çakıcı have been on hunger strike in the Netherlands for 46 days.

Solidarity visits continue to Kurdish hunger strikers Hüseyin Yıldız and Hasbi Çakıcı in the Hague, the Netherlands who are on the 46th day of fast demanding an end to the isolation imposed on Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Kurdish journalists and writers Fuat Kav and Amed Dicle have paid a solidarity visit to the two hunger strikers on Sunday.

Speaking during the visit, Fuat Kav called for support for the hunger strike resistance.

Likening the ongoing hunger strike action to the Amed Prison resistance, Kav said; “I believe that resistance will definitely end up in victory.”

Yıldız and Çakıcı were also visited by members of the HAKDER, the Union of Alevi Women in the Netherlands. Speaking on behalf of the group, the Union President Sevim Kaplan said; “It is time to unite. We will unite and succeed through resistance.”
