KESK march to Ankara left Batman

KESK co-chair Aysun Gezen said: "Despite the blockade we will continue our march. This march will end in front of the ministry in Ankara."

KESK (the Confederation of Public Workers Union) is marching from four different part of the country to bring their demands to Ankara.

KESK members are making a statement in every city they stop on their way to Ankara. KESK Co-Chair Aysun Gezen, explained that the march was to bring to Ankara their demands about the  Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

Following the problems experienced by unionists in Van, the workers marched to Batman where they condemned being harassed by police in Van.

HDP MP Mehmet Rüştü Tiryaki, Batman Municipality co-chair Songül Korkmaz went to express their support for the march.

"Secure and safe work, secure future, a collective agreement to ensure dignity of work" were the slogans chanted by workers.
