KCDK-E calls on everyone to join activities on 3 August

The KCDK-E urged "our people to join the actions and activities planned for 3 August."

KCDK-E co-presidency Council had demanded the recognition of the Yazidi status on the occasion of 3 August, the fifth anniversary of the genocide attacks carried out by ISIS on Shengal.

KCDK-E recalled in a written statement that the Turkish state led by dictator Erdoğan and its mercenary ISIS allies attacked Shengal on 3 August 2014 and massacred the Yazidi Kurds."

The statement continued: “This genocide took place before the eyes of the KDP administration and the world watched silently. On 3 August 2014, thousands of Yazidi were massacred and thousands were kidnapped, especially women and children. Their villages were burned and destroyed, thousands of Yazidi Kurdish women and girls were captured by ISIS mercenaries and sold in slave markets."

Stating that HPG, YJA-STAR YPG, YPJ forces protect the Yazidi against ISIS with great devotion and sacrifice the KCDK-E added: "The Yazidi Kurds established their own self-government and established their own mechanisms for the solution of all their problems. The Turkish colonialism, which failed to get results with the employment of ISIS mercenaries, is still threatening with occupation the entire Kurdistan geography, especially Shengal."

The KCDK-E "condemns the Yazidi massacre, the most shameful page of the century. We appeal to all international institutions, especially the UN to recognize the Yazidi status. The sacred settlement of Shengal, must be recognized and protected against threats. Third August must be declared the day of the fight against women's genocide."

The KCDK-E urged "our people to join the actions and activities planned for 3 August."
