TURKEY HAS BEEN AN INVADER FOR YEARS

Turkey has implemented a de facto invasion since 1997 through official bases in Southern Kurdistan. There are 22 bases that were able to be determined in Zakho, Duhoq, Bamernê, Amadiya, Sheladize and other regions. Since 2014, they have been keeping forces in and around Bashiqa to use in their dirty projects.

Turkey’s invasion forces in Southern Kurdistan and Iraqi territory have been subject for tensions between Iraq and Turkey several times in the past. Iraq has demanded the removal of these forces before, but this will be the first time the country appeals to the UN with documents.

This new decision by Iraq has come after Turkey was asked to remove their forces from Iraq in the Arab League Council Meeting.
