The hunger strike Yusuf Iba, a young Kurdish man who lives in Canada, started to protest the isolation imposed upon Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Ocalan continues on day 18, so do the support visits for him.

Southern Kurdistan activists, human rights defenders and women’s associations in Toronto have sent letters to Iba to show their support.

Kurdish activist Asiya Majid visited Iba in the Toronto Kurdish Society Center and, saluting Leyla Guven’s and Yusuf Iba’s protests, stressed the importance of Kurdish national unity.

Kurds’ allies in Canada wrote letters to the United Nations, Amnesty International and human rights organizations in Canada to call for awareness for Yusuf Iba.
