Hunger strikes in Paris, Stuttgart and Darmstadt continue

Activists prepared files and submitted them to the French Parliament and Amnesty International in tandem with the hunger strikes in Paris, France.

The hunger strike launched in Paris to protest the isolation imposed upon Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan continues on day 6.

24 activists are on a hunger strike in the Paris Democratic Kurdish Society Center, and committees were formed to submit files about the strike to various institutions.

The activists formed three committees and visited the French Parliament, Amnesty International and French news agency AFP. During their visits, they submitted files about the isolation imposed upon Öcalan and the hunger strike started by HDP MP Leyla Guven.

Visits to the hunger strike itself also continue. The co-chair of France-Kurdistan Association Sylvie Jan visited the activists and gave messages of support.

Jan saluted Leyla Guven and all activists on hunger strikes and said: “To end the chaos in Kurdistan and Turkey, the isolation of Mr. Öcalan must end at once and his freedom must be ensured.”

Artists from TEV-CAND held activities to support the hunger strikes.

HUNGER STRIKE IN STUTTGART ON DAY 7

The hunger strike launched in Stuttgart, Germany continues on its 7th day. A 20 person group from Freiburg and Lahr took over the hunger strike from the Heilborn group. The hunger strike is held in the Marsallstrasse during the day and in the Democratic Society Center during the night. On Tuesday, another group from Freiburg will take over the hunger strike.

DAY 7 IN THE DARMSTADT HUNGER STRIKE

The hunger strike in Darmstadt, Germany is on its 7th day. Like in other cities, the hunger strike there is also alternating.
