Hunger strikers protested in front of Swedish Parliament

The Kurdish activists reiterated that they were determined to fight against isolation imposed on Öcalan is lifted. 

Kurdish activists on hunger strike in Stockholm demanding the end of isolation against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan, protested in front of the Swedish Parliament.

Activists on Monday promoted a protest in front of the Swedish Parliament demanding the end of isolation. They urged the Parliament to act and put pressure on Turkey to accept the demand of the hunger strikers. 

Activists informed deputies and people entering the parliament about the hunger strike resistance led by HDP Hakkari MP Leyla Güven and joined by thousands both in prisons and outside. 

Eva Märta Granqvist, member of the organization called ‘We can’t stand it anymore’ which works with and for asylum seekers, visited the activists and expressed their solidarity with the Kurdish People.

Granqvist told ANF that they were on the side of human rights, a safe life and all the struggles for human rights.

The Kurdish activists reiterated that they were determined to fight against isolation imposed on Öcalan is lifted. 

Hunger striker Rezgar Haidar, from the province of Gävle, expressed the solidarity of the youth movement to Leyla Güven and the hunger strikers in prisons and outside.

Hair went on to say that the hunger strike will continue until reaching their goal.

Hunger striker Makbule Colak, said that they will continue their fast until the Kurdish People's Leader Öcalan would be allowed to meet with his family and lawyers and isolation is finally lifted.
