Hunger strike in Kassel on day 42

Two Kurdish activists are on hunger strike in Kassel, Germany for 42 days.

Ömer Bağdur and Cemal Kobanê have been on an indefinite hunger strike in the city of Kassel in Germany for 42 days. Bağdur and Kobanê, like all other activists on hunger strike in Turkey, Kurdistan and Europe, demand an end to the isolation imposed on Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Kurds and their friends are not leaving the hunger strikers alone.

Cumali Şaylemez, father of Leyla Şaylemez who was murdered alongside Sakine Cansız and Fidan Doğan in Paris on 9 January 2013, was among today’s visitors to express support for the hunger strike action against isolation.
