HPD politicians in exile launch solidarity hunger strike

As the indefinite and non-alternating hunger strike in Strasbourg, France to protest the aggravated isolation against Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Ocalan enters day 37, the exiled elected HDP officials started a 4-day hunger strike.

Elected HDP officials in exile who called for awareness for DTK Co-chair and HDP Hakkari MP Leyla Guven’s hunger strike against the isolation and for the Committee for the Prevention of Torture (CPT) to take action today in front of the Council of Europe (CoE) have started a 4-day hunger strike for support. The HDP officials will be on a hunger strike until Friday.

The elected HDP officials in exile who will be participating in the hunger strike are:

Filiz Kocali, Kemal Aktas, Nursel Aydogan, Leyla Imret, Ali Simsek, Besime Konca, Emrullah Bingul, Ihsan Celik, Songul Celik, Demir Celik, Lezgin Botan, Hasan Vural, Sibel Yigitalp, Huseyin Gunes, Leyla Birlik, Tugba Hezer, Zeki Cetin, Sabiha Gunduz, Faysal Sariyildiz, Hayri Ates, Ruken Eryilmaz.
