How the Turkish police fights the colors yellow-red-green

In Antalya, the police stopped a vehicle decorated with a yellow-red-green cloth. The driver was only released after the anti-terrorist police discovered that it was not a terrorist symbol.

The police in Antalya province cut the way for a car to which a yellow-red-green cloth was attached. The 19-year-old driver K.D. had to get out, and his vehicle was inspected by the police. For this assistance was requested from the anti-terror police.

When asked why he had decorated his car with a cloth in said colors, K.D. replied that he had joined a wedding convoy of relatives in the morning hours when the cloth was attached to the car.

K.D. was released after the anti-terror police unit found that the cloth was not the symbol of a terrorist organization, but only the colors were similar.

The police apparently felt obliged to destroy the cloth. They first kicked it, then tried unsuccessfully to rip it up and finally set fire to it with a lighter, which did not work either. Finally, they collected paper waste, set fire to it and threw the cloth into the fire.
