HDP Co-chair Temelli's passport confiscated at airport

The HDP Co-Chair could not board a plane to go abroad for an electoral appointment

HDP co-chair, Sezai Temelli, shared a message on his Twitter account on Saturday saying his passport had been confiscated and he could not go board the plane as he was supposed to.

According to information received, Temelli was expected to respond to journalists' questions in a program on Medya News this Saturday evening and was ready to board a plane in Istanbul Ataturk Airport.

The message on Temelli's twitter account says:

HDP election campaign Notes 2: HDP Co-Chair Sezai Temelli's passport was confiscated, unable to go abroad ...

According to the statement made by the HDP Press Bureau, "Our Co-Chairman Sezai Temelli has not been able to travel because of the confiscation of his passport at Istanbul Ataturk Airport where he had gone to travel and follow schedule of his elections campaign".

It is understood Temelli is negotiating at the airport with officials.
The confiscation of passport and prohibiton to travel abroad come at a delicate time, given that it directly interfere with the HDP co-chair right to make his electoral campaign.
