HDP’s Temelli: We’ll send 180 deputies to Parliament

Election campaign steps up as HDP candidates rally all over the country.

Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) co-chair Sezai Temelli was in Istanbul for the opening of the party’s election office in Esenyurt. Thousands of people attended the opening.

Temelli, who welcomed the people in Kurdish and Turkish, said that the AKP did not give the country anything but war and persecution.

“Injustice continues to rule. - he said - We will go door by door, street by street until 24 June to bring our message and to say we will end this injustice. We will get rid of the obstacles in front of the peace”.

Temelli invited people to “join the HDP in its efforts to get rid of this regime together. We will send 180 deputies to the Parliament on 24 June, not 80. Let’s wake up on 25 June and dance to peace”.

Underlining that the country was condemned to poverty, Temelli said: “This regime has spent this country’s resources on war. Shopkeepers are crying blood. Feminicide is on the rise. Young people are unemployed. We came to put an end to these injustices. We are the party of Turkey. Selahattin Demirtas is Turkey's candidate. HDP is Turkey's party”.

Temelli ended his speech saying: “On June 24 we will have to bury the AKP. The people of Afrin will be able to return home. We will have a new life. We will win!"

HDP co-chair then moved on to the opening of two more party’s electoral offices in Başakşehir and Bağcılar.
