HDP's Kürkçü in Ağrı: The AKP is running out of time

A chanting crowd rallied with the HDP candidates in Ağrı

The HDP organized a rally in Ağrı on Wednesday. HDP candidates Dilp Dirayet Taşdemir, Kezban Dumlu Ögel, Abdullah Koç, Berdan Öztürk joined the meeting together with HDP İzmir deputy Ertuğrul Kürkçü.

The rally, attended by a large chanting crowd, begun with the broadcast of the message by HDP presidential candidate Selahattin Demirtaş, shown on TRT.

Ağrı candidate Kezban Dumlu Ögel said that “the 24 June elections will show that Kurds have not forgotten the massacres of Roboski, Zilan, Dersim, Cizre.”

HDP candidate Dilan Dirayet Taşdemir stated that the AKP government has not provided a solution to the problems of Ağrı for 16 years and added that “this is why Ağrı will not give a single vote to the AKP-MHP fascism.”

Democratic Society Congress (DTK) co-chair and Ağrı candidate Berdan Ozturk reminded the AKP with its policy of war and massacre, no longer represents the people.

Kürkçü: Erdogan doesn’t deserve the vote of Kurds

Izmir deputy Kürkçü said: “HDP is standing like a rock in front of fascism. Erdogan does not deserve the vote of Kurds. We had hopes in 2013. We all hope that the call for peace and democracy our beloved comrade Abdullah Öcalan made at the 2013 Newroz would be listened”.

HDP deputy Kürkçü added: “President Erdogan then said he had put his head on it, he wanted to solve the Kurdish question, even if it meant drinking hemlock poison. We all saw - said the HDP deputy - that in the end Erdogan didn’t drink any poison nor solved any Kurdish question”.

The HDP deputy reminded that “you cannot establish democracy when ignoring the 6 million electors. That’s why on 24 June - he added - the HDP will be the only real alternative to this regime. The AKP is afraid, because they see that they are running out of time”.

Kürkçü ended by saying that “on 24 June we will pay tribute to our martyrs, for common life, equality and freedom.”

The rally ended with the songs of artist Kemalê Amedê.
