A delegation from the HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party) chaired by co-president Selahattin Demirtaş continues their official talks in Belgium's capital Brussels.

The HDP delegation comprised of HDP co-president Selahatin Demirtaş, deputies Leyla Birlik and Hişyar Özsoy and European representative Eyüp Doru has been having talks with European officials in Brussels since the beginning of this week.

At 14:00 Thursday afternoon, the HDP delegation had a meeting with Johannes Hahn, Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations. Press members were allowed to take pictures before the beginning of the meeting which took place closed to the press.

Before the meeting with Hahn, Demirtaş attended the Council meeting of the European Left Party and held a speech.

Welcomed by the European Parliament Rapporteur for Turkey Kati Piri on Tuesday, the HDP delegation met Wednesday with Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission; Martin Schulz, President of the European Parliament; and Gabriel Zimmer, President of the Confederal Group of the European United Left - Nordic Green Left.

The delegation will continue its talks at the European Council on Friday.
