HDP Aydin candidate Tunç: The struggle goes on

Artist Tunç said this was the most unfair and irregular election

HDP Aydin deputy candidate Ferhat Tunç said that he got enough votes in Aydın to be elected but that due to the anti-democratic practices and irregularities by the AKP in fact the candidate elected was the government party's one.

Tunç, said:

"In Aydın, we increased our vote for the first time despite these extraordinarily difficult conditions. We got about 70 thousand votes, some 23 thousand votes more than in previous elections.

Because of this unfair election system and the alliance law, - said Tunç - the candidate elected was that of the AKP."

Tunç added that despite all the fraud and irregularities and all the attempts made by the AKP to prevent the HDP from overcoming the threshold, "we have got close to 12% of votes, showing that despite having so many people in jail and despite the oppression we are the people's choice."

Artist Ferhat Tunç stated that they will continue the struggle: "We are not down, we feel up in spirit and more motivated than ever to continue our work and to ensure victory for our party."
